Our Philosophy
At Nexthink, everything starts with people. We believe that in-person collaboration, learning from one another, and building meaningful relationships in the office are key ingredients to our innovation and success. Each of our workspaces is thoughtfully designed to encourage connection, creativity, and collaboration.
We trust our people and give you the autonomy to work in a way that supports your productivity and well-being. At the same time, we know how valuable it is to come together in person. That’s why we’ve crafted a hybrid work approach that blends flexibility with the power of face-to-face interaction.
Our Office Expectations
- All Nexthinkers in office-based roles are expected to work from their local office at least three days per week.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays are our mandatory in-office collaboration days. The third day is up to you and your team to decide based on what works best.
- Employees hired into fully remote roles but living within 50 miles / 80 KM of a Nexthink office are expected to follow the same guidelines.
- The Workplace Team is expected to be on-site daily.
Please note: Commuting and parking expenses are not reimbursable for local remote employees.
These expectations are about more than just productivity – they’re about building culture, having fun together, and making sure we never miss those “aha!” moments that spark when we’re face-to-face.
Failure to comply with these in-office expectations may result in follow-up discussions and, if necessary, performance management. These expectations are mandatory, not optional.
Exceptions to these guidelines require written CEO approval.
Workspaces & Places
Our offices are designed for activity-based work – meaning you’ll find quiet zones, collaboration spaces, meeting rooms, and flexible seating. There’s plenty of space for everyone, even on our busiest days.
Tips for making the most of your space:
- Try out different zones and sit with new colleagues.
- Use lockers to store personal items so you can move around freely.
- Don’t reserve multiple spaces at once (e.g., desk + conference room).
Being present, visible, and collaborative not only boosts your work – it helps you grow your brand inside Nexthink.
Accountability & Attendance
We use our badge system to help track office attendance. This ensures we stay aligned with our hybrid model.
- Always badge in when you arrive.
- Data is accessible only to authorized personnel for compliance and operational use.
- Leadership may periodically review data for trends or to ensure alignment.
- Forgot your badge? No problem. The Workplace Team can provide a temporary one.

Team & Global Considerations
Success in a hybrid environment starts with clear communication. Use this framework to guide team discussions:
- Role – What does the job require?
- Team & Stakeholders – How will your schedule affect others?
- Productivity – How will results be measured?
- Law – What are the local legal and tax requirements?
Managers should document agreed team flexibility norms and ensure alignment with their leaders. Examples:
- “Tuesdays and Thursdays are our team’s core in-office days.”
- “Luis works until 5:00 PM to meet family obligations.”
Please also be aware of legal guidelines that may impact your schedule:
- Employees working across borders (e.g., living in France, working in Switzerland) may need to spend a majority of time in their employment country.
- Some countries restrict early or late working hours and weekend work.
Thank you
We’re proud of the hybrid culture we’ve created at Nexthink, and your commitment makes it possible. By showing up – with your presence, ideas, and energy – you help shape a vibrant, innovative future for our company. Let’s keep building something amazing, together.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
A: We understand that Tuesdays and Thursdays can feel especially busy. While we’re continuing to improve the office experience, here are a few things you can do to make the most of your time on-site:
- Plan Ahead: If you know you’ll need a quiet space or meeting room, try to book it early in the week. Reserving in advance increases your chances of getting the space you need.
- Be Strategic with Your Third Day: Choose a third in-office day that’s less crowded to balance your week with more focused time and easier access to space.
- Coordinate with Your Team: If sitting together is important, align with your team on desk locations or arrival times to improve your chances of finding seats nearby.
- Use Quiet Zones and Bubbles Thoughtfully: If you need a quiet space for a call or deep work, check for available bubbles or quiet zones and limit time to what’s needed so others can use them too.
- Bring Headphones: Noise-canceling headphones can help reduce distractions when the office is buzzing.
- Speak Up: If you consistently struggle to find space or focus, share your experience with your manager or the Workplace Team. Your feedback helps shape improvements.
A: We chose Tuesdays and Thursdays as fixed in-office days because we believe intentional overlap is key to making hybrid work… work.
When everyone is in on the same days, it:
- Maximizes face-to-face opportunities – making it easier to connect with the people you need, without endless scheduling
- Increases the chances of spontaneous collaboration – those hallway chats and quick syncs that spark ideas
- Strengthens our culture – shared presence builds a sense of community and belonging
If everyone picked different days, we’d risk empty offices, missed connections, and a diluted in-person experience. Fixed days help us get the most out of our time together while still giving you flexibility on your third day.
